Fall 2018 CLASSES-we meet every Monday

​**We have a minimum of 5 children per class**

Please note: $50 Registration Fee (per family), Material Fees and 1st month tuition are due at registration.  Then, Tuition is due monthly on Sept 1st, Oct 1st, and Nov 1st.  
Late fees will be applied for any delinquent accounts on the 10th of the month.

ART:
This class will help make connections through art making.  We will learn how to draw through observation and guided techniques, paint with watercolors, oils, and tempera paint.  We will use chalk pastels and oil pastels all while learning how to create art.

BIBLE:

Our lives are like castles that God can build into strong and beautiful monuments to His grace.  Students will discover God's redemptive love by studying the life of Christ, the work of the Holy, Spirit, and the ministry of the Apostle Paul.  We will do some crafts and have some verse memorization during this class.​   The Materials Fee includes the required book needed for class.

COOKING WITH SCIENCE:

We will learn about countries, science, and certain foods as we cook, read, and watch videos on bread, chocolate, popcorn, cookies, and pizza.  This is a year-long class-we will take 4-5 weeks for each topic.

CREATIVE WRITING:
3rd grade and up welcome.
He/she must be able to write sentences.
This class is to get students more excited about their writing; to write with zest, with gusto, with curiosity and imagination, with feeling and less restraint  than they may be used to.  In this class, we will talk about story elements, imagination, narration, reasoning, emotion, problem solving, and add to their vocabulary.  We will narrow in on persuasive, expository, narrative writing and visual presentations.

MATH SKILLS:

3rd-6th grade We will work on fine-tuning and sharpening your addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, measurement, money, time, ordering numbers and patterns through games and songs to hammer these concepts home.  **This is enrichment to help with Math.  This is not a replacement for your at home curriculum of Math**

METEOROLOGY:

Weather and Atmosphere...Packed with experiments and activities, this science unit explores weather and atmosphere in detail.  This class is designed to help even the youngest of children gain knowledge of meteorology as they recognize God's hand and feel of the wonders of this world.  This unit is very hands-on and packed with loads of fun in learning.  We will cover The Creation of Weather, Introduction to Seasons, Why We Have Seasons, The Earth's Atmosphere, What Is Weather, Measuring Weather, What is Air, Air Pressure, Air Temperature, Wind, What are Clouds, Types of Clouds, Rain,Thunder Lightning, Snow,Hail and Blizzards, Severe Weather:  Tornadoes, Severe Weather:  Hurricanes, Forecasting Weather

MUSIC:

We will learn how to play the ukulele.  This class is a great introductory to music!!

Tuition:  $30  Materials Fee:  $45 (this includes the cost of your ukulele for the semester and the music book if you own a ukulele, your fee will be less.  Just ask at registration)

SPANISH:

We will learn vocabulary and numbers 1-100 through various means.  Music and some hands on activities will be done as well as memorization.
